Job Description

Working alongside project delivery teams as part of our wider Performance & Reporting management team or independently with reach back support to experienced performance reporting professionals, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Driving implementation & continuous improvement in performance reporting (and interfacing project controls) processes to create efficiency and increasing benefits to our clients. 
  • Developing performance and reporting management plans for our clients based on project requirements, maturity and best practice.
  • Driving the implementation, embedding and roll-out of any identified changes to reporting processes.
  • Promoting the benefits and requirements of performance reporting within the project and programme team.
  • Appropriately selecting, implementing, administering, and maintaining reporting systems and procedures.
  • Lead implementation and change controlling reporting hierarchies and approaches.
  • Lead the definition of KPIs and performance measures dictionary.
  • Leading teams of project controls / reporting professionals to deliver effective, consistent, assured and value adding performance information to our clients across diverse and complex programmes.
  • Present / provide performance recovery recommendations to relevant stakeholders and senior management to support effective decision making.
  • Training and coaching clients and less experienced team members on performance and reporting management processes and practices.
  • Undertaking line management activities including career development and performance management.  
Qualifications
  • A project controls related qualification (e.g. Project Planning & Controls)
  • Experience undertaking digital reporting activities in multiple complex projects.
  • Demonstrable track record in providing project controls support to the configuration and setup of project reporting information systems.
  • Practical experience of implementing Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting and performance reporting and analysis.
  • An understanding of how other aspects of Project Controls (Scheduling, Cost Control, Change Control) interact with reporting.
  • Experience in leading small teams
  • Basic familiarity of some Project Controls software (Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys etc)
  • Experience in using data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI)
