Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and exceptional service. Duties

  • Assist with meal preparation and food presentation under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
  • Support catering events by preparing ingredients and setting up workstations
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
  • Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times
  • Help with inventory management by organising supplies and ingredients
  • Serve food to customers or staff as required, ensuring proper presentation and portion control
  • Support the team during busy periods by providing additional assistance in various kitchen tasks
  • Assist with basic cooking tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling dishes

Requirements

  • Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
  • Basic understanding of meal preparation and food presentation techniques
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied responsibilities within the kitchen setting
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service and teamwork

Pay: £12.21-£12.30 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
