About the Company
We are a leading construction contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK. With a strong reputation for excellence in construction and innovation in delivery, we work across sectors including residential, commercial, hotel, and student accommodation developments.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Logistics Manager
to take ownership of all site logistics on large scale projects. This is a
hands-on, site-based role and
ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced construction environments and understands the critical link between materials flow, safety, and programme delivery.
You'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all logistics operations on site — from traffic management and deliveries to waste removal and material storage. The role requires excellent communication and coordination with project management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth and safe site operations at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the project logistics plan in coordination with the Project Manager and Site Team.
- Oversee all delivery scheduling, vehicle movements, and traffic management around the site.
- Coordinate and control material handling, waste management, and storage across multiple work zones.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery sequencing and just-in-time material flow.
- Maintain site presentation and housekeeping to high standards.
- Manage on-site logistics operatives, gatekeepers, and waste management staff.
- Enforce all Health, Safety & Environmental requirements in accordance with company policies and legislation.
- Report daily on logistics performance, issues, and progress against programme.
- Support site management teams in achieving efficient, safe, and productive working environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or Site Logistics Coordinator on large construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site setup, and logistics planning.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with both site teams and external suppliers.
- CSCS card essential; SMSTS or SSSTS preferred.
- Hands-on and proactive approach — comfortable being on site daily and problem-solving in real time.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, evolving construction environment.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Opportunity to work on landmark construction projects.
- A site-based, dynamic environment where initiative and leadership are valued.
- Long-term career progression within a well-established and growing business.
