Operational Finance Reporting Analyst – Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available with this innovative and growing business in the form of an Operational Finance Reporting Analyst. The position is based in our Central London Head Office but will work on finance for the entire group made of Freehand and Generator properties in Europe and in the US. The role reports to the VP Finance with a close working relationship across the finance team and with direct involvement with the private equity ownership group. This is a full time, office-based position.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

  • Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will mainly cover the following tasks:
  • Reviewing and analysing Profit &Loss Account and Balance sheet reconciliations from the properties by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial records, providing critical feedback, and offering actionable recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Accounting system management by developing a deep understanding of the company accounting systems and its functionalities, troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the accounting system and involvement in the possible migration to a new accounting system.
  • Work with the FP&A team to coordinate the forecasting and budgeting cycle for the Group including all properties and head office functions. Ensuring timelines are clearly communicated and met and be fully responsible for consolidation and reporting to Management, investors and lenders.
  • Ad hoc Support to hotel finance teams, which will include extended visits to properties where needed
  • Support the finance team during the annual Group and local financial audit processes
  • Support the finance team for quarterly reporting for owners
  • Ad Hoc support to Group projects such as refinancing or M&A due diligence

Your Rock Star Experience

  • Experienced ACA/ACCA/ part-qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE
  • Hospitality experience gained in a sufficiently complex & geographically diverse business is essential
  • Strong MS Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Preferably experience in PE or VC environment
  • The ability to work across the business
  • High levels of attention to detail and ability to take full accountability for output produced
  • Highly motivated, proactive, self-starter, with the capability to spearhead and take full ownership over workstreams
