Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and supporting the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems, logistics, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Conduct regular stock counts and audits to maintain accuracy in inventory records.
- Utilise data mining techniques to identify trends and discrepancies in inventory.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline shipping and receiving processes.
- Implement process improvements to enhance inventory management efficiency.
- Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and develop corrective actions.
- Manage category management tasks to optimise product placement and availability.
- Operate forklifts safely for materials handling as required.
- Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems for data entry and reporting.
- Create data visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL for reporting purposes.
- Assist with merchandising efforts to ensure product displays are well-stocked and organised.
- Engage in heavy lifting as necessary during stocking and materials handling activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or inventory control is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of logistics, supply chain operations, and 3PL environments is advantageous.
- Excellent negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis for problem-solving within inventory processes.
- Experience with category management and merchandising strategies is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Capability to lift heavy items safely as part of daily responsibilities.
