More detail about the role The core purpose of the Cancer Information Support Manager is to lead the provision of accurate and complete cancer data within national data submissions. Working closely with the Cancer Information Manager, you will play a central role in driving cancer data quality improvement building on processes for monitoring and reporting compliance with national cancer information standards covering timeliness of reporting, completeness and accuracy. You will also promote and advise on the use of cancer performance and clinical outcome information and support the development of tools for sharing cancer data across operational and clinical teams.

The post holder will provide professional leadership and line management of the CAF Team, who collate COSD data, monitor data completeness and accuracy and support clinical teams in the use of cancer information, and also the Cancer Data Quality Team, who focus on monitoring and improving the quality of data collected for cancer pathway tracking and cancer MDT, as well as overseeing training relating to these areas.
