GSI are recruiting software engineers to work on our iGaming product suite including game development, systems integration, high volume transaction processing, platform features and back office functionality. We are looking for motivated and disciplined self-starters who are keen to work as part of a small but highly experienced distributed team. Our development philosophy is to embrace the latest software tools and techniques and we are looking for engineers with the same passion.

This is a full-time permanent position based in our Newquay Office.  We have a relaxed and informal working culture.  We feel very privileged to live and work in such a beautiful part of the world and proud to be part of Cornwall's fast growing tech sector.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar subject and/or 3+ years of commercial software development experience

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Java 11

Spring & Spring Boot

RDBMS - PostgreSQL, JPA, Hibernate

Web Development - Angular, Typescript, Bootstrap, Sass

Maven

Linux/Unix systems

Test-driven development

Functional/Reactive programming

Amazon Web Services

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Agile and Lean methodologies

Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment

Docker, Kubernetes

Reactive programming - RxJava, Reactor, Akka

Web animation, jQuery, PhaserJS, WebGL, Canvas

Couchbase, Hazelcast, NoSQL, Data Grids

Alternative JVM languages - Clojure, Scala, Groovy
