**Quality Engineer
- c£30K + excellent bens + prospects**

**Monday - Friday**

**Location : Penryn, Cornwall**

**Our client**:
An internationally renowned engineering company who continue to grow at a rapid pace. As part of their expansion & process improvement there now exists a new role for an experienced Quality Engineer.

**Role Summary**:

- Developing and implementing quality standards.
- Liaising with customers, ensuring issues/enquiries seen through to completion
- Developing and implementing quality control systems.
- Monitoring and analysing quality performance.
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
- Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
- Developing corrective actions (root cause), solutions, and improvements.
- Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.

**Key Characteristics**:

- Fully compliant with health and safety guidelines, it is at the forefront of our business.
- Flexible, able to cover 2 sites in order to support the function, primarily based at the Penryn site.
- Problem solver, with a desire to create long term solutions.
- Ability to assimilate with various teams (Operations, HSEQ and Planning).
- Appetite for development and to develop others.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to the environment.
- Confident IT user, especially Microsoft suite.
- Eye for detail, only accepting the right first time approach.
- Strong skills in maths & science.
- Able to adopt and demonstrate the company’s core values.

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of BSI audit standards and experience of conducting these.
- Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering preferred.
- ASQ certification preferred.
- Experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar.
- Experience using QA software tools and processes.
- Background in manufacturing an advantage.
