Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Responsible Individual to oversee the quality and compliance of our care services within assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of senior care, dementia and Alzheimer's care, and experience in managing care plans and medication administration. This role is essential for ensuring the delivery of high standards of care while maintaining regulatory compliance and fostering a compassionate environment for residents. The position is paid and offers an opportunity to lead a committed team in providing exceptional care to our service users.

Duties

  • Oversee daily operations within the care home or service, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and organisational policies
  • Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership and guidance to maintain high-quality service delivery
  • Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans for residents, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
  • Ensure safe medication administration in accordance with prescribed protocols and legal requirements
  • Monitor residents' wellbeing, responding promptly to any concerns or changes in condition
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practice standards
  • Facilitate staff training programmes focused on dementia care, medication management, and person-centred approaches
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home environments or home care settings with a focus on senior or dementia care
  • Strong knowledge of care plans, medication administration, and legal requirements within the UK healthcare framework
  • Demonstrable leadership and supervising experience within a care home or similar setting
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Compassionate approach with a commitment to delivering person-centred care for residents with complex needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease
  • Relevant qualifications in nursing or health & social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care) are highly desirable
  • Valid management experience in a senior or supervisory role within a regulated healthcare environment is advantageous
