Urban Environments Ltd provides market-leading water hygiene and remedial services across the UK, specialising in Legionella compliance in the social housing sector. We regularly submit bids to tender for private and public sector contracts and are seeking a highly organised and detail-orientated bid writer to join our team.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a bid writer located in Sevenoaks, Kent.
The successful candidate will have experience in bidding for tenders and be able to produce high quality submissions in a timely manner. In addition to being a lynchpin in our bid process, they will also provide general administrative support. This is an ideal role for candidates looking to develop their writing and commercial skills as part of a fast-growing company which leads the way in its industry.

Key responsibilities

• Responding to standard selection questionnaires
• Creating, proofreading and editing tender bids, ensuring clarity, consistency and accuracy
• Formatting proposals according to client requirements and company standards
• Ensuring timely submission of bids within strict deadlines
• Developing engaging case studies by liaising with subject matter experts across the business
• Maintaining bid library
• Using AI to assist with e.g. bid drafting and evaluating bid requirements
• Providing general administrative support

Essential skills

• Experience in bid coordination and proposal writing (minimum 2 years)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
• Proficiency in MS Office (essential)
• Ability to work with AI bid management system
