- Manage the end-to-end bid process.
- Tender for small, medium and large-scale tenders and frameworks across the UK;
- Assist with current multi-disciplinary tenders as required;
- Reviewing tenders to understand key aspects required to win the work and to provide clear briefs for technical teams so their focus is in the right areas, reducing time and input form technical teams.
- Develop holistic systems and processes to improve our tenders including review of CV's, capability statements, brochures, case studies and to lead on the delivery and coordination of these for key projects including liaison with sub consultants, and project partners and driving the tender programme ensuring suitable timescales for senior review of quality and costs;
- Provide a coordination role for tenders
- Assist BD leads with appropriate marketing material;
- Develop high quality stock answers to quality questions;
- Monitor tenders across the UK and develop a tender tracker and programme to map future frameworks and frame work renewals;
- Work with social media team (internal and external) to assist with material to support our marketing and PR;
- Collate tenders in InDesign and create high quality templates and submission;
- Collate tenders and images and develop an image library for tenders and facilitate photography of Lanpro projects aligned to
- Co Create (website approach), ensuring these are current and professional;
- Work with Lanpro colleagues to develop and build capacity and knowledge of tender delivery, undertaking training and identify external training for bid writing.
- Understanding the financial requirements of tenders and work with Business Unit Leads and Discipline Leads to define pricing strategies for tenders/projects.
- Undertake market research relating to won/lost tenders to guide a holistic pricing strategy for the company for tenders;
- Ensure a clear Social Return on Investment (SROI) and a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Strategy aligned to tender submission and to review opportunities for added value to our clients and stakeholders.
- Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with marketing, finance, commercial, legal and project management / delivery teams.
- Work with the discipline or Project Director Manager and Discipline leads to develop a clear win strategy for each bid.
- Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues.
- Prepare and review the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all products / services are included in the final price to the customer.
- Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process.
- Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as providing guidance around executive summaries and aligned to key client objectives).
- Manage the bid budget and monitor and report on overall performance against KPIs
- Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines.
- Ensure on-time submission of compliant and commercially sound bids.
- Co-ordinate and plan all client presentations required as part of the bid submission.
- Drive continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews, both internally and with customers.
- 5-15 years' experience in relevant industry (Degree level desired)
- Proven ability in securing high value work suited to our areas of expertise.
- Strong demonstrable background in tender management, coordination and delivery of multi-disciplinary tenders in Lanpro core sectors.
- Proven team leadership skills in office-based and virtual work environments.
- Excellent communicator and comfortable working at all levels of experience within senior delivery teams.
- Sound commercial understanding and profit and loss experience coupled with risk management skills.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-worksteam opportunities.
- Solid understanding and management of internal governance procedures and ISO.
- Large scale framework experience
