About us:
Wifinity was founded in 2007 to solve a problem—our armed forces were struggling with reliable connectivity. While living in barracks, often in remote locations, ordering a landline and booking in an engineer just wasn't an option.
And that problem isn't exclusive to the military, either. Students living in University accommodation, families visiting holiday resorts, or living in shared accommodation and retirement communities.
Conventional home broadband doesn't always work for them.
Wifinity is different. We offer the same benefits as traditional broadband, such as super-fast speeds, WiFi, and secure and private networks, but none of the downsides. We even offer Pay As You Go and flexible contracts, so customers only pay for what they need without hefty penalties or long contract terms.
We take the complexity out of connectivity.
The opportunity:
You will play a leading role in ensuring we win major contracts within the public and private sector. The focus will primarily be on writing proposals, tenders and managing the procurement process to a successful conclusion. You'll establish and maintain a framework and tender repository, ensuring the way we communicate to customers is consistent and of a high quality standard.
Key areas of focus:
The Bid Manager will assemble and manage a bid team that has the skills to prepare and submit a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process. You'll be significantly involved pre-RFP by sourcing the tenders, driving the supplier questionnaire phase and ensuring all resources are aligned to the client's requirements long before the bid process starts.
After bid submission, the Bid Manager remains involved throughout the presentation and contract negotiation stages.
Your day-to-day role will consist of the following responsibilities, you may be required to carry out further responsibilities at the company's discretion.
- Sourcing new frameworks to join.
- Proactively searching new tenders from a variety of online channels.
- Completing all stages of the supplier registration process.
- Identifying critical win factors as part of the tender qualification process.
- Mobilising and managing a virtual bid team of sales, marketing, product, finance, commercial, legal and project management.
- Ensuring bids follow governance gates and are signed off at the appropriate levels.
- Ensuring key stakeholders adhere to the agreed timelines for submitting their individual contributions. You will also edit their responses to ensure that our responses have a consistent tone of voice.
- Formally handing over the project to installations teams.
- Managing sales enablement tools to ensure that all customer facing materials are consistently updated and easy to access.
- Capturing lessons learned post contract award notice, ensuring all lessons learned are fed back and implemented.
Customer Driven:
- Identify and assess customers' needs to achieving and exceeding customer satisfaction
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication
- Handle customer queries, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the expected time frame and follow up to ensure resolution.
About you:
You are excellent at working with people and always strive to provide a customer driven approach. We are looking for someone that has:
- A strong intellect, quick thinking with the ability to understand, manage and influence multiple stakeholders. Able to influence at senior levels within the organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal skills ensuring technical and non technical responses are tailored to the correct audience and in a consistent tone of voice.
- An excellent understanding of bid processes, procedures and best practices.
- Bid content and collaboration tool experience required.
- Proven experience in all aspects of the bid development process, and core competencies of Bid Management with a demonstrable record of success in managing and winning bids.
- Commercial and contractual acumen.
This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It requires strong people management and commercial skills.
Your experience:
- Proven experience of Bid Management experience within the telecommunications and/or IT sector.
- Proven experience of Public Sector tendering
- Extensive bid writing experience
- Technical awareness including an understanding of wireless and wired internet / network based solutions
It would be nice to also have, but not essential:
- A solid understanding of how these frameworks are governed.
- An APMP qualification
