A DAY IN THE LIFE
Responsibilities
No two days are the same, but every day brings the opportunity to connect, inspire, and drive engagement across L'Oréal UK & Ireland. As our Internal Communications Manager, you'll be at the heart of our employee experience, with responsibilities including:

Your goal will be to inform, engage, and motivate our employees, reinforcing our purpose and values.
  • Driving Strategic Execution: Collaborating closely with the Head of Internal Communications, you'll play a key role in executing our overarching internal communications strategy, ensuring seamless alignment with both global directives and local UK & I business objectives.
  • Channel Management & Digital Creativity: You'll oversee the daily management of our internal communications channels, ensuring they remain current, relevant, and engaging. As a digital content creator, you'll leverage platforms like Photoshop or Canva to design striking visuals and content that amplify our messages.
  • Unearthing Inspiring Stories: With an inherent sense for storytelling and news, you'll proactively identify and share inspiring narratives from across the business, fostering a strong sense of pride and belonging. You'll ensure critical business updates, policies, and initiatives are communicated effectively and through the most appropriate channels.
  • Measuring Impact & Innovating: You'll utilise data and insights to meticulously track the effectiveness of our communications efforts, quickly identifying areas for improvement and challenging traditional tactics with fresh, innovative ideas to continuously enhance our strategy.
  • Strategic Partnerships & Event Planning: You'll partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders across functions – including DEI, Sustainability, HR, and our brands – to develop communication plans aligned with business priorities. You'll also support the organisation of high-impact internal events from concept to delivery, managing logistics, messaging, and stakeholder briefings.

Who You Are
You are a dynamic and influential professional ready to make a significant impact on our employee journey. You possess:

  • A Natural Communicator & Gifted Writer: You have excellent verbal communication skills and a proven ability to craft compelling written messages, tailoring your tone and content for diverse audiences.
  • A Creative & Strategic Thinker: You're brimming with fresh ideas, enjoy finding innovative ways to engage employees, and can always see the bigger picture, developing communication plans that directly support overall business objectives.
  • A Problem-Solver & Self-Starter: You view challenges as opportunities, seamlessly juggling multiple priorities, and effortlessly shifting between strategic planning and tactical execution.
  • A Collaborative Connector: You thrive in a team environment, enjoy working with others to achieve shared goals, and are curious about connecting messages and people for a unified "One L'Oréal" vision. You're keen to build and leverage a strong network of contacts.
  • A Trusted & Ethical Advisor: You act in line with our Ethical Principles, offering solutions and expertise while confidently challenging existing ways of working.
  • Results-Oriented: You're passionate about making a difference and driven to see your work have a positive impact on the organisation.
  • Proven Experience: You bring 6+ years of experience in a creative communications role or a related field, ideally within a fast-paced, matrixed organisation.
  • Digital Proficiency: You're proficient in design platforms such as Canva, Photoshop, or InDesign. Experience with Adobe Campaign Manager and video editing abilities would be a significant advantage.
