The successful candidates will demonstrate a genuine passion for working with children and a dedication to supporting their development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.We are looking to fill this role in one of 2 ways:Option One Breakfast and After School Club Assistant for 20 hours per week 7:15am - 8:45am AND 3:15pm - 5:45pmOption Two- 1 Breakfast Club Assistant for 7.5 hours per week 7:15am - 8:45am- 1 Afterschool Club Assistant for 12.5 hours per week 3:15pm - 5:45pmPlease indicate the option you are applying for on your application formKey ResponsibilitiesThe post holders will:- Care for and support all children, recognising and responding to individual needs and challenges.- Supervise and interact with children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.- Plan and deliver enjoyable and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social development.- Encourage positive relationships and assist in the development of social and emotional skills.- Prepare and serve snacks in accordance with food hygiene standards.- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment, including the cleaning of toys and equipment.- Administer basic first aid (where appropriately trained).Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety policies and procedures at all times.Person SpecificationThe ideal candidates will: Be enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible in their approach.Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.Work effectively as part of a team.Hold relevant childcare qualifications and/or experience (desirable).Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality.Be committed to providing high-quality, inclusive experiences for all children.Closing date for applications: Thursday 4th December Noon)
