Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients in daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and progress in accordance with established care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
  • Help create a warm and welcoming environment within the care home or during home visits.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT and healthcare practices.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills.
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary

Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
