Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth running of daily tasks. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for healthcare and a desire to contribute positively to patient outcomes.

Duties

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their inquiries and concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of medication administration and inventory management
  • Support medication therapy management by ensuring proper storage and labelling of pharmaceuticals
  • Assist in the preparation of prescription orders, including counting, measuring, and mixing medications as required
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy environment
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised workspace

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
  • A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support
