Job Summary APPRENTICESHIP

LEVEL 2 Will be training with local college to gain qualification up to NVQ level 2 Pharmacy assistant.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented APPRENTICE Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. Duties

  • Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare medication labels and organise stock for easy retrieval
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
  • Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
  • Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and inventory levels
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and stock ordering as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is preferred / not necessary
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations / preferred / not necessary
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy assistance or healthcare are advantageous / preferred/ not necessary
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality
