Job Summary:
To effectively facilitate the supply chain operations of Midea Home Appliances UK, part of Midea Group, a Fortune Global 500 company are seeking an experienced
Demand Planner
. The role will play a critical role in building a robust, data driven demand-planning process.
The role ensures that forecasts accurately reflect market demand, enabling efficient production, procurement and inventory decisions while supporting high service levels.
Responsibilities include
:
- Forecasting Demand: Analyse historical sales data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts for products..
- Inventory Management: Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and avoiding stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align demand forecasts with promotional activities and budget constraints.
- Data Analysis: Utilize statistical methods and software tools to develop and maintain forecasting models, adjusting them based on market conditions and business strategies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present demand forecasts and inventory metrics to management, highlighting potential supply chain issues and recommending solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and enhance forecasting techniques and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Organise and maintain electronic databases
- Other admin support where required.
Requirements for the role:
- Experience in the home appliance sector (Desirable)
- Proven experience in demand planning or a related field, with a strong understanding of statistical analysis and forecasting methods, minimum 3 years demand planning experience (Essential)
- Proficient user of Microsoft office – Advanced Excel skills (Essential)
- APICS CPIM/CIPS (Desirable)
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field (Desirable)
