Sunshine Day-Nursery is an exceptional Early Years nursery setting in Bordesley Green area of Birmingham.
We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated, passionate, experienced and with good leadership skills to join our team. We are looking for a Manager who can help us achieve a unique and wonderful learning experience for our children and families. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery and will have the support and training to enable you to succeed in this role.
We are looking for an applicant who has previous experience of managing a Nursery at least two years . you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of exciting and enriching play and learning inclusive opportunities for all children.
The successful applicant must have a minimum of Level 3 or higher in early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent. You will have at least two years' experience of managing a nursery, current DSL and Paediatric First Aid training. You will have an excellent communication skill in English, both verbal and written, sound understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and child protection and an inspirational approach to children's development. Knowledge of SEND and experience in supporting children with SEND is essential.
Main responsibilities of a Nursery Manager include, but are not limited to:
· Lead, inspire and support a talented team to deliver outstanding childcare and early education.
· Organise regular staff meetings and record agendas and minutes. Arrange the key person organisation and to effectively supervise staff daily; to be responsible for monitoring the quality of teaching and learning in the nursery.
· Participate in staff appraisals and help identify and deliver training needs. Oversee inductions, appraisals and reviews, training and development and individual supervisions. And contribute to the planning, monitoring, evaluation and improvement of the Nursery.
· oversee all daily operations of the nursery associated with the management of the setting e.g., curriculum planning, maintaining children's' records, daily attendance registers, accident, organising staff rotas, incident records and maintain parent partnerships and curriculum planning.
· Take part in recruitment and retention of staff following saver recruitment practices. Helping students and trainees to settle in and contribute to the assessment of the students and trainees' performance and to ensure high standards are continually being met.
· Review and implement policies and procedures and help to ensure setting policies and procedures are always adhered to.
· Ensuring staff are supported in their remit to provide high-quality teaching and learning.
· Following the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and supporting all staff to understand and adhere to those requirements.
· Ensure observations are consistent in their quality; to implement a record keeping system so that children's progress and achievements are effectively and regularly assessed.
· Ensure food hygiene protocols are followed, that dietary requirements are noted and followed, to ensure recent food dietary guidelines are part of the nursery's healthy eating remit.
