Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within our nursery environment. Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years.
  • Supervise and support children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment that complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents during regular meetings.
  • Support the implementation of early childhood education programmes aligned with recognised standards.
  • Assist in organising daily routines and special events within the nursery setting.
  • Contribute to team meetings and ongoing professional development activities to enhance childcare practices.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
  • Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care or equivalent are preferred.
  • Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring travel between nursery locations or community visits.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining a nurturing approach towards children. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £24,420.00-£35,678.78 per year
