Responsibilities:

Food Preparation:

• Prepare and portion meats, vegetables, and other ingredients for grilling.
• Season and marinate meats according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure that all food products are of the highest quality and freshness.

Grilling:

• Operate and manage the grill station efficiently.
• Grill meats, seafood, and vegetables to perfection, adhering to temperature and timing guidelines.
• Monitor and adjust grill temperatures as needed to achieve optimal results.

Quality Control:

• Conduct regular checks on the quality of grilled items to maintain consistency.
• Ensure that all food items leaving the grill station meet the established standards for taste, texture, and presentation.

Collaboration:

• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely production of menu items.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to manage inventory and avoid shortages.

Safety and Hygiene:

• Adhere to all safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
• Properly handle and store food products to prevent contamination.
• Keep the grill station clean and organised.

Menu Development:

· Collaborate with the team to develop and refine grilling techniques for new menu items.

· Suggest and contribute to menu innovation with creative and appealing grilled dishes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Grill Chef or similar role in a similar restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of various grilling techniques and cooking methods.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Creativity and a passion for delivering high-quality, flavourful dishes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
