Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Appian Developer to spearhead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade Appian solutions. This role involves leading client engagements, understanding complex business requirements, and architecting scalable digital workflows that drive impactful business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will translate business challenges into robust Appian solutions while leading teams through the full project lifecycle, including requirement analysis, technical design, development, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities


• Lead client engagements and deliver high quality digital workflow solutions using Appian.


• Gather and analyse business requirements through workshops, interviews, and process assessments.


• Translate business needs into scalable Appian platform solutions for both technical and non technical stakeholders.


• Design and develop Appian applications, workflows, and organisational models aligned with digital transformation goals.


• Drive best practices in Appian architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment.


• Collaborate with cross functional teams in an Agile environment, supporting sprint planning, execution, and continuous delivery.


• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior developers and project teams.


• Ensure Appian applications meet performance, scalability, and maintainability standards.


• Manage integration design and development using APIs, connectors, and enterprise databases.


• Stay updated on Appian enhancements, features, plugins, and product capabilities to recommend optimal solutions.

Skills and Experience Required


• 8 to 10 plus years of experience in Appian workflow development, integration, and architecture within Financial Services or large Corporate environments.


• Strong experience leading end to end Appian solution design, development, and deployments.


• Appian Level 2 certification is required, Level 3 is preferred.


• Hands on expertise with Appian process modeling, SAIL interfaces, records, rules, decisions, and data management.


• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.


• Experience working in Agile environments, including sprint planning, development, testing, and CI or CD.


• Strong understanding of Financial Services domains such as Banking, Insurance, Wealth, Risk, Compliance, or Regulatory.


• Deep knowledge of Appian architecture, best practices, enterprise data concepts, and performance optimisation.


• Strong experience with at least one major database such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.


• Experience with API integrations, Appian connectors, and enterprise integration patterns.


• Familiarity with Appian plugins, rules engines, and advanced utilities.


• Ability to identify platform limitations, evaluate alternatives, and recommend best-fit solutions.


• Proactive, self-driven mindset with strong problem solving and innovation skills.
