Laundry Assistant Part Time

15-20 hours per week to include some weekends starting at £12.21 per hour

Dulas Court is located approximately half way between Abergavenny and Hereford so you will be required to travel to work.

Being a Laundry Assistant at Herefordshire Care Homes

Laundry Assistants at Herefordshire Care Homes come from all walks of life. You may have no or minimal experience but are keen to explore a new career in care. If you are kind, friendly and care about the life about older people then we could have just the role for you.

Led by the Housekeeper you will play a key role in ensuring our residents always have fresh clean, ironed clothing and linen contributing to their comfort and wellbeing

Responsibilities include

  • Collecting washing, drying , ironing and distributing residents laundry and household linen.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
  • Ensuring residents personal clothing is handled with care and properly labelled.
  • Keeping laundry areas clean and tidy and compliant with health and safety procedures.
  • working collaboratively with the housekeeping and care teams .

What you'll need Experience of a previous Laundry Assistant role would be useful but not essential. More important though is your kind-hearted nature, your belief in teamwork and your ability to use your initiative and imagination. You must be able to follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload. Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work can be hard, but also fun and rewarding.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21 per hour
