Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates; report any abnormalities promptly.
- Administer medications following care plans and Nice guidelines to ensure safety and compliance.
- Support residents to promote proper nutrition and hydration.
- Observe and document residents' conditions through patient observation techniques; report changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Follow detailed care plans tailored to each resident's needs while providing emotional support and companionship.
- Collaborate with professionals including social workers, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies.
- Participate in training sessions
- Support residents' participation in social activities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant in care home or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and ADL assistance. .
- Experience working with people with care needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and residents' families.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life through attentive caregiving.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.21 per hour
Expected hours: 33 per week
