Duties

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates; report any abnormalities promptly.
  • Administer medications following care plans and Nice guidelines to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Support residents to promote proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Observe and document residents' conditions through patient observation techniques; report changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Follow detailed care plans tailored to each resident's needs while providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Collaborate with professionals including social workers, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies.
  • Participate in training sessions
  • Support residents' participation in social activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant in care home or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and ADL assistance. .
  • Experience working with people with care needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and residents' families.
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life through attentive caregiving.
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.21 per hour

Expected hours: 33 per week
