Job Summary

Night Shifts during the weekend.

We are a nurse led organisation, seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home environment, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to implement care plans effectively.

Duties

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents in daily activities, including meal preparation and feeding.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
  • Engage with residents through conversation and recreational activities to promote emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
  • Drive residents to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and team members.
  • Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and documentation.
