Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with Sage 50 accounting software and Sage50 payroll. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes icluding all month end duties including prepayments,accruals and depreciation. There could possibly be three sets of accounts to process for the Director on small businesses.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and financial reports.
- Manage payroll processing and related documentation including relevant submissions, including pension.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage, for daily transactions.
- Provide support in the development of financial policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software, particularly Sage.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
