We're Ambitious
That's why we're keen to hear from determined and motivated people like you, to help deliver commercial excellence for our clients and ourselves
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, strategic, and charismatic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this key role, you will be an integral part of the commercial function supporting our UKPN contract.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved with:
- Managing subcontractors and overseeing subcontract accounts
- Supporting the Commercial Manager and contributing to the wider commercial team
- Managing client disputes and undertaking internal commercial audits
- Maintaining and updating the commercial risk register
- Overseeing weekly valuations and verifying measurement accuracy
- Leading cost analysis and cost-reduction initiatives
- Conducting contract reviews and analysing rates
- Producing CVRs across all projects
We would love to hear from you if…
You are someone with a positive, can-do attitude and a collaborative approach, who thrives within a team environment and consistently aims for high standards. You will bring significant commercial experience within a contractor setting, ideally with exposure to self-delivery in an infrastructure environment, and a proven ability to motivate others and support the delivery of shared goals.
You will have a strong background in managing a range of contracts, including complex contractual arrangements, supported by solid technical construction knowledge. Experience in a client-facing position would be highly beneficial, alongside confidence in managing subcontract procurement and contract administration in line with industry best practice.
We are looking for someone with highly developed commercial awareness and clear, demonstrable experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with a range of stakeholders across the business. You should also be well-organised, diligent, and able to work under pressure without compromising attention to detail.
Finally, you will be confident in project commercial management and comfortable overseeing and guiding others within the commercial environment, bringing both professionalism and a supportive leadership style to the role.
We are unable to offer sponsorship with this role.
