Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting our new clients, an established Commercial Flooring Contractors with a great track record of servicing Construction sector clients Flooring Requirements in their search for an additional Estimator / Surveyor to help them to bid for and win more Tenders and Projects.

Our clients are based in Kent near the M25 but carry out works within the M25 and wider areas.

The role at its core is that of Estimator but the brief is varied and places the successful candidate at the heart of the operation and carrying out a key role in assisting across all areas of the business plan.

Duties:
  • You will be working with the Sales side pricing up works and take offs on Blue Beam and Excel
  • You will be speaking to Suppliers and Subbies, ensuring the very best pricing for all materials and labour.
  • You will produce accurate and prompt Estimates and Tendering and Bid Documents and support the Business Development activities.
  • You will work equally closely with the Project Management teams to ensure smooth handover and ensuring they are fully briefed on the job and are able to deliver an excellent finish to every project, on time and on budget.
  • You will additionally work on end of month Valuations and Accounts side too encompassing elements of Quantity Surveyor duties to give a full rounded back office role with as stated connections to all elements of the efficient Commercial running of the jobs won and the wider business.
The Person:
  • A Flooring Pro with a great understanding of all types of Commercial Flooring and its applications / installation.
  • Estimating Skills and experience for same.
  • Capable of working with Quantification Software (Bluebeam ideally) plus Microsoft Excel for job sheets etc.
  • Professional and precise and able to work to tight deadlines at times.
  • Strong people skills and negotiation experience to ensure you build great supplier relationships and subsequently do the very best deals with commercial acumen, ensuring the very best pricing for our clients and their customers.
  • Ambitious and prepared to grow in time into a more senior role as our clients business grows.
  • Office based role so in commuting distance of West Kent / South East London area.
