RCCG City of Zion (COZ) in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire is looking to hire a Music Director Could you be the one for this ministry position?
The Director of Music Ministry provides visionary leadership and oversight for all aspects of the music and worship arts ministry.
This role requires a seasoned leader with a minimum of 7 years of demonstrated success in cultivating, growing, and sustaining choirs, praise teams, and worship programs.
In addition to leading weekly worship, the Director will plan and direct seasonal worship events .This leader will manage professional musicians, mentor volunteers, and build strong teams that can expand the reach and impact of the church worship life .
The role requires creativity, administrative skill, and the ability to inspire excellence in worship that glorifies God and engages the congregation.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a life that demonstrates faith, integrity, and spiritual maturity.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in church music ministry, with a proven track record of developing, cultivating, and growing praise teams, choirs, and worship ministries.
- Demonstrated experience in worship production.
- Proficiency in choral conducting and contemporary Christian worship styles
- Experience recruiting, training, and mentoring professional musicians and volunteer leaders.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with experience managing budgets and coordinating across ministries.
- Must provide confirmed, verifiable references from previous ministries and/or employers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Worship Leadership
- Plan, prepare, and lead weekly worship experiences that incorporate both traditional and contemporary elements.
- Select and arrange music for worship services, ensuring alignment with the church's vision and themes.
- Stay current on a variety of worship music to keep the ministry fresh and relevant.
Administration & Resource Management
- Oversee music ministry staff, musicians, and volunteers.
- Coordinate weekly rehearsals and prepare music in advance for all services.
- Manage the music ministry budget ano ensure the care and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
This is a full-time position, averaging 37.5-hours a week, hybrid-model, consistent with assigned duties during the year.
