Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children in our care.

Duties

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, encouraging children's development across all areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's achievements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive nursery environment that supports the needs of all children.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills by guiding and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to childcare and early years education.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • Strong management and leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire others.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their growth and development.
