Therapeutic Children's Support Worker

Location: Burton-on-Trent (DE13)

Salary: £29,500 – £32,000 (DOE)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are a fast-growing therapeutic residential care organisation with two Ofsted Good homes and a third opening soon. We're expanding our team in Burton-on-Trent and looking for passionate, motivated individuals who want to make a real difference for children and young people.

The Role

As a Therapeutic Children's Support Worker, you'll support young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, using trauma-informed approaches including PACE. You'll help them feel safe, build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and move towards brighter futures.

What You'll Do

  • Provide consistent, high-quality care in a therapeutic environment
  • Support emotional wellbeing using trauma-informed practice
  • Encourage confidence, resilience, and positive routines
  • Work closely with a skilled team and external professionals
  • Contribute to personalised care plans

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in residential childcare (preferred)
  • Understanding of therapeutic or trauma-informed approaches
  • Compassion, patience, resilience, and strong communication
  • Flexibility to work a rolling rota including evenings/weekends
