Are you an experienced Residential Support Worker ready to progress into a senior role? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at our new 2-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Burton-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills within a supportive, therapeutic, and child-centred organisation. With two Ofsted-rated "Good" homes and a third opening soon, we are committed to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care that meets the emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs of children and young people.

The Role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide consistent, high-quality care and emotional support within a residential environment
  • Lead by example and act as a positive role model for children and staff
  • Mentor and support junior team members, helping them develop skills and confidence
  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of individualised care and support plans
  • Participate in team meetings, handovers, and multi-agency reviews
  • Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding, regulatory, and organisational standards
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals
  • Promote a nurturing, safe, and stable home environment that supports growth and recovery

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a children's residential care setting – preferred
  • Previous senior or supervisory experience – desirable
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate, resilient, and child-centred approach
  • Full UK Driving Licence – required
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements
