Senior Residential Support Worker – Children's Home (EBD)
Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 per year (inclusive of sleep-ins)

Are you an experienced Residential Support Worker ready to progress into a senior role? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at our new 2-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Burton-on-Trent.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills within a supportive, therapeutic, and child-centred organisation. With two Ofsted-rated "Good" homes and a third opening soon, we are committed to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care that meets the emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs of children and young people.
The Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Provide consistent, high-quality care and emotional support within a residential environment
- Lead by example and act as a positive role model for children and staff
- Mentor and support junior team members, helping them develop skills and confidence
- Contribute to the creation and delivery of individualised care and support plans
- Participate in team meetings, handovers, and multi-agency reviews
- Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding, regulatory, and organisational standards
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals
- Promote a nurturing, safe, and stable home environment that supports growth and recovery
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
- Minimum 1 year's experience in a children's residential care setting – preferred
- Previous senior or supervisory experience – desirable
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, resilient, and child-centred approach
- Full UK Driving Licence – required
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements
