Location: Tottenham, London

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, with pay reviews linked to progression

Lead, Learn, and Fast-Track Your Career

Are you ready to take the next big step in children's residential care?

This is more than a Deputy Manager position — it's a clear, structured pathway to becoming a Registered Manager, with dedicated mentorship, specialist training, and genuine career progression built in from day one.

At Liberi Care, we deliver high-quality, therapeutic residential childcare that supports young people to overcome challenges and achieve brighter, more independent futures. We're looking for a motivated and compassionate Deputy Manager who is eager to grow into a Registered Manager role within an accelerated timeframe.

About the Home

Our Ofsted-registered home in Tottenham provides a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for children and young people aged 10–17. We use a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to ensure that every decision we make puts the child's best interests first.

Here, you'll find the support, structure, and guidance to develop your leadership skills and take the next step in your residential childcare career.

Your Role as Deputy Manager

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in maintaining exceptional standards of care and operational excellence. You'll be both a role model for best practice and a supportive guide for your team — ensuring that every young person receives the highest quality care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a positive, professional team culture.
  • Care Planning: Oversee personalised care plans that meet regulatory standards and promote each young person's wellbeing and progress.
  • Safeguarding & Welfare: Lead on safeguarding in the Registered Manager's absence, ensuring children's safety and emotional security at all times.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Support inspections, maintain full regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the service.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in structured leadership training to prepare for progression into the Registered Manager role.

Fast-Track to Registered Manager

We're committed to developing your leadership potential through a tailored progression plan that includes:

  • A comprehensive induction covering safeguarding, HR, compliance, and home management.
  • Shadowing and leadership development alongside the Registered Manager.
  • Advanced training, including support to achieve your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (if not already held).
  • Ongoing mentorship from senior leaders to guide you toward your Registered Manager position.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role within children's residential care.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), and willingness to complete Level 5 if required.
  • Strong leadership and safeguarding knowledge, with an excellent understanding of childcare legislation.
  • Compassion, resilience, and ambition to progress into senior leadership.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting young people to heal, grow, and thrive.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, with regular pay reviews linked to progression.
  • A clear and supported pathway to Registered Manager.
  • One-to-one mentorship from an experienced Registered Manager.
  • Access to specialist therapeutic and leadership training.
  • A supportive, values-driven team culture where your contribution is recognised.
  • Company pension, health benefits, and staff incentives.

Most importantly, you'll gain a role with purpose, impact, and real long-term career progression.
