Are you ready to take the next big step in children's residential care?
This is more than a Deputy Manager role - it's a clear, structured and supported fast-track pathway to becoming a Registered Manager, with dedicated mentorship, specialist leadership training, and real career progression from day one.
At Liberi Care, we provide high-quality, therapeutic residential childcare that supports young people to overcome challenges and build brighter, more independent futures. We're looking for a motivated and compassionate Deputy Manager who's ready to grow quickly into a Registered Manager role - not in years to come, but in a well-defined, accelerated timeframe.
About the Home
Our Ofsted-registered home in Tottenham offers a safe, nurturing and stable environment for children and young people aged 10–17.
We use a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach, ensuring that every decision is guided by the child's best interests.
You'll be stepping into a role where your progression is planned and supported from day one, giving you the tools, structure and training to confidently transition into senior leadership.
Your Role as Deputy Manager
As Deputy Manager, you'll work hand-in-hand with the Registered Manager, taking on a key leadership role in delivering exceptional standards of care and operational excellence. You'll be a role model for best practice, a supportive leader for your team, and a driving force in helping young people thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leadership & Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a positive, professional team culture.
- Care Planning: Oversee personalised care plans that meet regulatory standards and promote each young person's wellbeing and progress.
- Safeguarding & Welfare: Lead on safeguarding in the Registered Manager's absence, ensuring children's safety and emotional security at all times.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Support inspections, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Professional Growth: Engage in structured leadership training to prepare for your transition into the Registered Manager role.
Fast-Track to Registered Manager - Your Career Accelerator
This opportunity is designed for ambitious leaders who want to progress fast. We offer a tailored development programme to help you step confidently into a Registered Manager position.
You'll receive:
- A comprehensive induction covering safeguarding, HR, compliance, and home management.
- Shadowing and leadership development alongside the Registered Manager.
- Advanced training and support to achieve your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (if not already held).
- Ongoing mentorship from senior leaders, ensuring you are fully supported on your journey to Registered Manager.
This is a structured career route - not just a promise of progression.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role within children's residential care.
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), and willingness to complete Level 5 if required.
- Strong leadership and safeguarding knowledge, with an excellent understanding of childcare legislation.
- Compassion, resilience, and ambition to progress into senior leadership.
- A genuine commitment to supporting young people to heal, grow, and thrive.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary, with regular pay reviews linked to progression.
- A clear and fast-tracked pathway to Registered Manager.
- One-to-one mentorship from an experienced Registered Manager.
