Harts of Stur is a fourth-generation family business and have been established since 1919. We have extensive premises built on the original site where our founder, the late Walter Hart, was Sturminster Newton's local Blacksmith.

We are one of the UK's largest in store and online retailers of Cookware, Kitchenware and Kitchen Electrics, stocking a comprehensive range at competitive prices, offering, with great confidence, cookware of unbeatable quality and value.

Additionally, we have an onsite Coffee Loft. Seating over 40 people, the Coffee Loft is the ideal place to rest your feet and take a well deserved break from your shopping or meet up with your family or friends, all whilst enjoying a freshly brewed coffee and a slice of cake or a delicious light lunch.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a Front of House member, to become a new face of our Coffee Loft. The successful applicant must enjoy working in a fun, professional environment within a fantastic team. This role involves a combination of customer service, food and beverage preparation, and maintenance of cleanliness and order in the customer area.

Key to success in this position is the ability to multitask, provide excellent customer service, and maintain high standards of accuracy and cleanliness. You must be motivated, quick to learn and be able to work at speed and under pressure.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

· General front of house responsibilities, dealing with every customers journey during their visit for the best customer experience at all times

· Warm welcome to all customers, giving the best communication, clearly detailing orders for the team

· Advising and guiding customers on all menu choices and selling promotional products

· Preparing and serving of front of house food items

· Preparation of all beverages including teas, coffees and milkshakes etc

· Presentation of products and service adhere at all times to instructions and manuals

· General support and food preparation in busy periods in the kitchen

· Taking cash and card payments accurately

· Ensure at all times that all areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards

· Ensure all procedures and check lists are properly followed and completed

· Opening and closing procedures, preparation and cleaning

· Other duties at the direction of the Company Directors or department manager

CURRENT HOURS OF WORK:

· Our normal opening hours are weekdays - 8am -5.30pm, Saturday's - 8am -4.30pm, Sundays – 8am-4pm (must be able to work during these times).

· We currently have a 25 hour per week contract available, you must be available to work any day, Monday - Sunday, especially Sundays.

· There may be the opportunity for overtime during busy trading periods

REMUNERATION:

· A generous salary will be offered to the right candidate.

HOLIDAY:

· 28 days per year for full time employee inclusive of all Bank Holidays, pro rata for part time employees.

UNIFORM:

· Branded tops are supplied and are expected to be worn at all times.

· Trousers and skirts must be black or navy

· Footwear must be black, sensible and no open toed style.
