Saint Helier, United Kingdom Vaiie Full time £90,000 - £120,000 per year
Description

As a Senior Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining scalable, secure software within our SaaS environment. You'll collaborate with product and UX teams, mentor junior developers, and help define the technical architecture that underpins our platform.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a growing, collaborative environment and wants to build products that make complex regulatory processes simpler, faster and more intuitive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of new product features and enhancements within Vaiie Onboard
  • Design, code and maintain high-quality, testable and scalable solutions
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Developer and CTO on architectural planning
  • Integrate with third-party APIs and data providers
  • Support and mentor team members in best practices and code quality
  • Participate in and enhance our DevOps practices such as automated testing and code reviews
  • Contribute to our ISO 27001-aligned software security and data protection standards
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

We prefer finding teammates with a demonstrable ability to learn and transferrable skills, rather than requiring specific experience in our current tech stack.

In this role you can expect to work with C#, TypeScript, React, and running on Azure. We're happy to help the right person cross-skill from other languages.

You'll likely have:

  • 5+ years of software development experience, ideally within SaaS or web environments
  • Experience collaborating in a development team using agile approaches and tools like Git
  • Understanding of secure coding, authentication and data privacy principles
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Opinions on architectural styles, design patterns and programming languages

Nice to have:

  • Professional experience in C# or TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Experience with a modern JS framework
  • Experience of test automation at different layers of abstraction
  • Knowledge of secure development best practices
  • Experience in RegTech, FinTech or compliance-related applications
  • Familiarity with KYC, AML, or eIDV processes
  • Experience integrating third-party identity or business verification APIs
  • Experience working with public cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud)
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Dev-spec laptops running your choice of MacOS or Windows
  • Flexible hybrid working model (office in St Helier, Jersey)
  • The opportunity to shape the future of RegTech across global IFC's
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven culture
  • Work with a modern tech stack and leading data partners
