Term-time only | Monday – Friday | Breakfast Club + After School Club

Venue Lead: £12.50–£13.50 per hour

Playworker: £10.00–£12.21 per hour

We're recruiting for two roles in our brand-new Wraparound Care setting at Leigh Academy, Horsmonden:

Wraparound Care Site Lead (25 hours per week)

Playworker (22 hours per week)

About the Roles

We're building a friendly, energetic team who can help our new breakfast and after-school club provision to grow and thrive.

As Site Lead, you will:

  • Create a fun, inclusive environment before and after school
  • Lead a small team to deliver high-quality wraparound care
  • Plan and run engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and admin tasks are completed to a high standard
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and school staff

As a Playworker, you will:

  • Support the Lead in running daily play activities
  • Supervise children aged 4–11 in a school club environment
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming space
  • Prepare snacks and promote healthy habits
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and school staff

What We're Looking For

Site Lead – Essential:

  • Level 2+ qualification in Childcare, Playwork or similar
  • Experience working with primary-aged children in schools or clubs
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Good safeguarding knowledge and basic IT skills
  • Valid (or willingness to obtain) enhanced DBS

Playworker – Essential:

  • Aged 18+ (due to insurance & Ofsted regulations)
  • Experience with children in schools, nurseries, or play settings
  • Confident supporting play in a structured but fun environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid (or willingness to obtain) enhanced DBS
