Information Governance Lead

We're supporting a leading global financial services organisation in hiring an Information Governance Lead. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role at the heart of their EMEA Data Office.
This is a pivotal opportunity to take ownership of a critical area of change, modernising how the business manages its information and records, and ensuring robust governance supports innovation.
You'll bring proven experience establishing and delivering IG frameworks across complex, multi-stakeholder organisations. Early priorities will include replacing legacy systems, strengthening relationships across IT, Legal, Compliance and Information Security, and driving the adoption of modern, practical governance practices.
Right now, this is a standalone role, reporting to the Director of Information Governance, but as the strategy matures, there's clear scope to build and lead a small team.
What you'll bring
- Demonstrable experience delivering end-to-end IG programmes in large, complex organisations.
- Expertise in data privacy, records management, and information classification.
- The confidence to challenge and influence at all levels.
- A proactive, practical approach. Someone who gets things done.
