Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their development through engaging activities.

Duties

  • Provide high-quality childcare in a safe and welcoming nursery setting.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and nap times, ensuring that each child's needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and sharing insights with parents.
  • Maintain a clean and organised environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational programmes and overall experience for children.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills by guiding junior staff and supporting their professional growth.

Experience .

  • A relevant level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare and Education is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage groups of children effectively while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and staff members.
  • Experience working with diverse groups of children is an advantage.
