We are looking to recruit a Client Manager to be based at our East Coast office in Gorleston.
Stephenson Smart (East Anglia) Ltd are a well-established firm of accountants, based in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire; with offices in King's Lynn, Great Yarmouth, Fakenham, Wisbech, March, Downham Market and Acle . We have more than 140 dedicated staff spread across the organisation.

Overview
You will be exposed to a wide variety of accounting and tax areas. For example, accounts for companies, sole traders and partnerships, audits, tax computations and tax returns, VAT returns, CIS returns, etc. Additionally, you will help mentor the junior members of the team, it will be your responsibility to brief staff on any ongoing business and help develop staff members, whilst ensuring work is completed to strict deadlines. The successful candidate will help to lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Delegating workflow, reviewing work, and providing coaching to manage and develop junior members of staff to help them reach their full potential
- Ensuring the team's documentation meets the highest standards, reviewing financial statements to ensure they comply with relevant regulations
- Managing engagements, demonstrating a commercial approach and effective use of resource.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Skills & Experience
- Must be ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong IT skills with experience using Xero and IRIS preferrable
- People management experience
- Proven experience in client handling
- A strong work ethic with commitment to delivering an excellent service
- An innate drive to ensure the value and integrity of the business is always upheld
- An ability to work to deadlines
