Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to hospitality, and a deep understanding of food production and preparation.

Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, following health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and menu items.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
  • Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Culinary qualifications or relevant training are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • A passion for cooking, creativity in the kitchen, and dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Pay: £30,000.00-£330,000.00 per year
