London, Greater London, United Kingdom Simmer Eats Full time
Talent Acquisition & People Ops Manager

London (4 days per week in office)

About Us

At Simmer, we're building the future of healthy, high-flavour, feel-good eating. With tens of thousands of subscribers and a mission to make better food easier for everyone, we're scaling fast, and we're just getting started.

Number 5 in the Sunday Times's fastest growing companies, we're backed by impressive growth, an engaged community, and a product that makes healthy eating accessible for everyone, even those with no time.

We're building a category-defining food brand driven by creativity, ambition, and executional excellence. To fuel our next stage of growth, we're looking for a Talent Acquisition & People Operations Manager who can find, attract, and onboard exceptional people while building the systems, culture, and operational backbone that keeps our team excelling.

This role sits at the heart of Simmer - combining hiring, people ops, onboarding, culture, and office management into one high-impact position. You'll make sure our people experience is as strong behind the scenes as our brand is on the outside.

What You'll Own

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across all functions: creative, growth, product, operations, and beyond.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, write compelling job specs, and design candidate experiences that reflect our brand.
  • Build scalable, repeatable hiring processes - balancing speed with quality at every stage.
  • Track and optimise recruiting metrics to improve efficiency and outcomes.

People Operations

  • Own the full employee lifecycle: contracts, onboarding, systems, records, and HR administration.
  • Design onboarding programs that set new hires up for impact from day one.
  • Support the development of people policies, frameworks, and best practices as we scale.

Culture & Engagement

  • Plan and deliver team socials, offsites, and cultural initiatives that strengthen connection and belonging.
  • Act as a culture champion - ensuring Simmer's values are lived daily.
  • Oversee office management at our London HQ - ensuring it's a collaborative, energising space to work.
Your Growth Path

Over time, this position will grow into a Head of People & Talent, shaping Simmer's approach to talent, culture, performance, and engagement as we continue to scale. You'll work directly with founders and leadership, building the foundations of a world-class people function. If you're ambitious, proactive, and hungry to grow, this is your opportunity to do it at a company moving faster than most.

What You Bring

Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years in recruitment (agency or in-house), ideally with exposure to people operations or HR processes.
  • Proven ability to hire exceptional talent quickly and thoughtfully - balancing urgency with quality.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail - able to juggle hiring, onboarding, and people ops seamlessly.
  • Experience building or improving people processes, systems, and employee engagement initiatives.

Mindset & Attributes

  • Self-starter mentality. You make things happen and stay one step ahead.
  • High EQ. You're approachable, intuitive, and empathetic.
  • Adaptable and resourceful. You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and figure things out as you go.
  • Excitement for a fast-paced, founder-led business that rewards ownership and creativity.
Why Join Us
  • Join Europe's fastest-growing food brand, recognised by The Sunday Times 100 and Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe.
  • Be one of the first 20 team members shaping Simmer's next chapter.
  • Work directly with founders celebrated by Forbes, Hurun UK, and The Sunday Times.
  • Build the People function from scratch - with a clear pathway to Head of People & Talent.
  • Competitive salary, bonus, and perks.
  • A culture built on ambition, authenticity, and doing more with less.
