Our IGS site in Kidderminster plays a vital role in delivering high quality glazing solutions to stores across the UK and we're looking for a Head of Operations who can take our performance to next level.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day running of a busy manufacturing site. You'll be working closely with production, engineering, quality, supply chain, HSE, finance, and HR to ensure that every part of the operation is running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. From overseeing daily production targets and managing operational KPIs to driving continuous improvement initiatives and embedding robust quality and safety standards, your influence will be felt across the entire site.

You'll lead a team of six and be a key member of the site leadership team, fostering a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and high performance. You'll be expected to motivate and develop your team, ensuring clear career pathways and maintaining accurate operational data to support decision-making. You'll also play a critical role in shaping the site's environmental and safety practices, championing innovation and sustainability in everything we do.

Your ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, both on-site and across the wider Specsavers network will be essential. You'll need to communicate openly, challenge constructively, and influence decisions that drive long-term value. Commercial awareness is key, as you'll be responsible for managing departmental budgets and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or service.

Experience of leading in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage. We're looking for someone who understands the complexities of a production-led business and can bring a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to operational challenges. You'll need to be confident making quick decisions, solving problems analytically, and supporting change in a dynamic setting.
