Are you passionate about your role as an Early years practitioner but just can't commit to the long days? Well look no further, we've found a solution How about you get to do the job you love AND be there for other commitments (school runs etc) at the start/end of the too good to be it's not We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our amazing team who work in the beautiful Peak District, close to Chatsworth House. We are a new nursery, placing staff wellbeing as one of our top priorities, for example, you will get a paid day off for your birthday, nursery closes for 2 days a year for training meaning staff aren't expected to always train on evenings and weekends, nursery closes for a week at Christmas giving staff a well deserved break, nursery will pay for CPD opportunities, staff receive above average pay with annual reviews etc.

We are working hard to create a well qualified, dedicated, passionate and fun team of individuals who can support each other to be the best practitioners that they can be.

The role is permanent, and will be 10am-2pm (lunch time cover), 4 or 5 days a week (we're flexible). Optional additional hours are also available should you wish

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
  • Manage daily operations within the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education.
  • Support children's individual needs and encourage their social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Drive to various locations as required for training sessions.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
  • A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in planning educational programmes tailored to children's developmental stages.
