What You Will Be Doing
An opportunity has arisen for a Planning and Delivery Leader within the Defence Assembly & Test team. As a PDL, you will play a crucial role in the planning and control team supporting the delivery of critical customer requirements. A successful candidate would ideally have customer experience, project delivery and the ability to balance multiple priorities at one time.

Responsibilities

• Carry out short to medium-term load/capacity planning for the area ensuring customer commitments are achievable and the business understands what's required to deliver
• Manage supply chain inputs by completing regular reviews on delivery plans, measuring of delivery adherence and the escalation of issues when required. Identifying the impact of possible shortages affecting the business plan, taking the necessary actions to ensure appropriate escalation and mitigation where possible
• Create, review and report on, the performance of the area, in terms of Cost, Delivery and Headcount.
• Work closely with all operations functions to ensure plans are achieved and the business operates smoothly. Be the voice of operations into other areas of the business (i.e., Programmes, procurement, and shipping) to ensure that output and input plans are aligned and delivered on time.

• Planning and prioritisation skills with a high attention to detail and a self -directed approach
• Experience of SAP, Microsoft Office tools and an interest in learning new tools & techniques.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to easily build relationships with the wider business or stakeholders
• Highly organised with the ability to change pace and direction in response to changes in customer ask
