Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling and management of materials. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Duties

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing stock.
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
  • Perform stocking duties, including receiving shipments, sorting items, and replenishing shelves.
  • Engage in picking and packing orders accurately for shipping.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly documented.
  • Load and unload goods from lorries, adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Apply mechanical knowledge when necessary to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using forklifts; certification preferred but not mandatory as training may be provided.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 is an advantage.
  • Strong skills in materials handling, including heavy lifting capabilities (up to 25 kg).
  • Experience in construction or related fields is beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
