Our client is a leading name in the Asset Based Lending (ABL) and Invoice Finance market, known for delivering flexible working capital solutions to a diverse portfolio of SMEs and mid-corporate clients. With a strong reputation for service excellence and commercial understanding, they are continuing to expand their operations and are seeking an ambitious Assistant Relationship Manager to join their growing team.

The Role;

As an Assistant Relationship Manager, you will play a key role in supporting a team of Relationship Managers in managing and developing a portfolio of ABL and Invoice Finance clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career within commercial finance, gaining hands-on experience across portfolio management, client relationship support, and risk monitoring.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Support Relationship Managers in the day-to-day management of a portfolio of ABL/Invoice Finance clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of client reviews, credit papers, and ongoing facility monitoring.
  • Liaise with clients, accountants, and internal teams to ensure smooth operation of facilities and quick resolution of queries.
  • Monitor client performance, financial covenants, and borrowing base data to identify any potential risks or issues.
  • Contribute to the onboarding and renewal process of facilities, including the review of legal documentation and facility letters.
  • Prepare management information, reports, and analysis to support decision-making and client development.
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements;

  • Previous experience within commercial finance, ABL, or invoice finance (or strong exposure within corporate or business banking).
  • A good understanding of financial statements, cashflow, and credit risk.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team.
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within ABL and commercial lending.
