  • Coordinate meetings and events, including logistics like organising travel and accommodation, agendas, briefing notes, minutes, and action plans.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as managing expenses, purchase orders, room bookings, and catering.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, maintaining confidentiality and trust.
  • Collaborate with other PAs and Business Support colleagues to ensure seamless service and coverage.
  • Support the Director with reporting, briefing coordination, and ad-hoc tasks as needed.
  • Reflect the behaviours and values of the Director and of Macmillan, contributing to a high-performing, self-sufficient culture.

About you

The successful candidate will bring a blend of proactive thinking, emotional intelligence, and operational excellence to this role. You will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Solid track record of previous experience in administrative processes and support for senior leaders
  • Proactive approach to anticipating needs and outcomes

  • Ability to develop professional working relationships and build trust quickly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in using tools and systems, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

In return, we offer a range of benefits including:

  • 25 days holiday plus flexible bank holiday options, increasing by 1 day every year of service up to 30 days
  • Pension matched up to 7.5%
  • 120+ learning and development offers, with access to external professional qualifications
  • Flexible working patterns, such as compressed hours, flexibility to work earlier or later around our core working hours of 10am-4pm
  • Holiday buying and selling scheme, life insurance, free wills, retail discounts and much more
