We are looking to recruit a Development Infrastructure Engineer to support the continuing success of our Birmingham office.
Duties and responsibilties
The candidate will provide design expertise and support on a wide range of commercial and residential projects ensuring designs are prepared in accordance with current legislation, best practice, council policies and to the highest technical standards.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Fulfil The Following
- Ideally have a degree in civil engineering or similar with 4 years' relevant post graduate experience.
- A good knowledge of highway design, and drainage.
- Knowledge and experience of highway design standards – DMRB and Manual for Streets.
- Experience in the design of both commercial and residential developments including infrastructure, external works and drainage.
- Knowledge and experience of highway and drainage adoption processes and legal requirements for S278, S38 and S104.
- Knowledge and experience of earthworks strategies.
- Experience of meeting attendance to discuss issues with clients, architects, contractors, local authorities and other statutory bodies.
- Working towards a professional qualification i.e. Incorporated or Chartership.
They Will Have Also Have
- Good understanding and use of software packages including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Site 3D and Flow.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to maintain good records.
- Excellent problem solving skills

- Take reasonable care for your own safety, whether on or off site, and those around you who may be affected by your acts or omissions
- Co-operate with the company in achieving Health and Safety standards where relevant and as directed
- Report to your manager any actual or potential risks, accidents or dangerous occurrences that you identify in the workplace in line with company policy
