10 Nov Award-winning consultancy in Birmingham requires a Senior Structural Engineer to take a leading role in the delivery of structural engineering schemes.

Offering services in structural, civil, and building services engineering, this company was founded in the early 2000s and operates from offices in two major UK cities. It is recognised for providing creative and sustainable engineering solutions to building design.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from initial concept through to completion
  • Develop creative and cost-effective structural solutions for a wide range of building types and materials
  • Conduct detailed structural analysis and design
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and specifications
  • Mentor and guide structural engineers and CAD/ Revit technicians
  • Collaborate with architects, clients, and contractors to ensure project success
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations

What they're looking for:

  • A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Chartered or near Chartered status (CEng, MIStructE or MICE)
  • 5+ years experience as a Structural Engineer, with a portion in a senior or leadership role
  • Extensive experience with various construction materials, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude with a strong commitment to quality
